Hey Guys,
We can’t wait to celebrate with you! As many of you know, we met in 2018 at the Blue Line watching the Stanley Cup Finals with a mutual friend (shout out CJ). Little did Megan know, Alec had called dibs months ago when we were still in college (allegedly). On a humid summer night, Alec invited Megan over for backyard games and found out they grew up two streets apart - despite going to the same Elementary, Middle, High School, and College. (Alec is from the wrong side of the neighborhood, iykyk). Alec felt like he had luck on his side since the drive to hang out was less than a minute. After a few months of perseverance from Alec, we finally went to Kelly’s Westport Inn together and after a few Big Beers, the rest is history.
Since that fateful summer, we’ve grown to be adults together and have celebrated each others accomplishments while never having a dull moment together. Between multiple graduations, several U-Haul trips, a couple job changes, exploring new cities, multiple Super Bowl wins, a KU Basketball National Championship, and a revival of KU Football and Baseball together, we’ve ridden a lot of highs. We’ve also faced challenges and found out just how well we work as a team.
In July 2025, Alec pulled off a surprise engagement on the beach in Saunderstown, Rhode Island. Even after seeing the flowers and lamps, Megan didn’t see it coming until Alec yelled at her to hold his hand. As you can tell, we’ve moved at a rapid pace since we met so we can’t wait to get married in Mexico next year!
We wouldn’t be the strong team we are without the love and support from all of our friends and family. We were both able to seamlessly mesh with each others friend groups and even mold some friend groups together which has brought us countless memories over the past several years. Our families have become one big (happy?) family, and we thoroughly enjoy being able to celebrate most holidays together under one roof. That says a lot after the Fourth of July incident of 2023, when Megan and Dean almost blew up the entire Fiest Family. Oops!
We are ecstatic to spend quality time with you and are so thankful you have supported our love for so long. Here’s to gettin’ Fiesty!
Love,
Megan & Alec
